A common problem with traffic lights!

1. Traffic lights cannot be used safely and normally. The hardware of traffic signal lights is missing or malfunctioning, which cannot be displayed normally, resulting in problems such as signal lights not lighting up, single light color display time being too long, and insufficient brightness of traffic signal lights.

2. Safe use of "composite lights" for traffic signal lights. Composite light "refers to the display of red, yellow, and green light colors within the same light emitting unit. Failure to separate the three geometric positions of red, yellow, and green in accordance with regulations, resulting in color blindness, color weakness, and other traffic participants being unable to distinguish the color of traffic signals based on their positions, poses a safety hazard.

3. The sequence arrangement of traffic lights is not standardized. The traffic lights should be sorted from top to bottom and from left to right.

4. The traffic signal lights should not be set up. At intersections or sections where the set conditions have been met without traffic lights, the traffic order at the intersections is poor, which can easily cause traffic congestion and even lead to road traffic accidents.

5. The number of traffic signal lights installed is too small. At large and medium-sized intersections with two-way six lanes or more on urban road sections, only one set of traffic signal lights (main lights) should be set in each entrance direction, which cannot meet the coverage requirements of traffic signals and interfere with accurate identification by drivers.

6. The installation position and orientation of traffic signal lights are incorrect. The position of traffic signal lights is not set according to standard regulations and does not conform to the driver's visual recognition habits, which will affect the driver's quick recognition and reaction.

7. The installation position of traffic signal lights is too far. The position set by traffic signal lights should be at least 80 meters away from the indicated direction stop line, which can interfere with the driver's accurate identification in haze or strong lighting, posing a traffic hazard.

8. The traffic lights were obscured. Some urban road traffic lights, especially pillar type traffic lights, are covered by trees, billboards, and promotional banners, which interfere with the driver's perception and pose a safety hazard to traffic.

9. The traffic signal lights do not match the lane function at the intersection. At intersections without dedicated left turn lanes or dedicated right turn lanes, traffic signals for left or right turn direction indicators and dedicated left or right turn phases are set, and the traffic signals are not paired with the lane functions at the intersection.

10. Direction indicator traffic signal lights release conflicting right-of-way phases. At some intersections, the direction indicator lights and motor vehicle signal lights (i.e. full screen lights) turn on green at the same time, or the traffic signal lights for left, straight, and right turn on green at the same time. This poses a problem of conflicting traffic flow rights between motor vehicles indicated by traffic signals and non motor vehicles in the same direction, pedestrians on the road, and opposing traffic flow, as well as potential safety hazards and law enforcement responsibilities.

11. The color conversion sequence of traffic signal lights is not standardized. Red green yellow red, the duration of the yellow light should be 3-5 seconds.

12. The timing of traffic lights and signals is not scientific. The timing of traffic signal lights does not take into account the real-time changes in traffic volume, and the implementation plan for timing is fixed or only one or two implementation plans are available at all times.

13. The pedestrian crossing signal on the road is not long enough.
